Sabah is known as "Sabah, negeri di bawah bayu", which means "Sabah, the land below the winds", because of its location just south of the typhoon-prone region around the Philippines. Besides the Hostile Sounding Term being placed on Sabah for geographical purposes, I was Truly Mesmerized by the Beauty of this place Called "Sabah".
Freedom Expression takes a peek at Sabah's Heritage - Greatness
-Blessed by Perseverance Efforts of their forefathers, Great Vast Virgin Forests and Natural Resources are still around today. Sabah National Park is inscribed as a World Heritage Site in 2000 because of its richness in plant diversity combined with its unique geological, topographical, and climatic conditions.
-Sipadan, Sabah - Finished at top 77 in the search for the New 7 Wonders of Nature after an
announcement made by the New7Wonders Foundation in Zurich for it is the only oceanic island in Malaysia which rises 600 meters from the seabed, Sipadan Island is a world wonder in its own right. It is formed by living corals engulfing an extinct volcano cone which took centuries to develop. Located at the centre of the Indo-Pacific basin, Sipadan Island has one of the world’s richest marine biodiversity in its ecosystem.
"It was never the Sabahan's way to be boastful for their Rich Heritages Or Take Compliments from Outsiders unless they really think they deserve the Compliments."Humble and Helpful People says me.
Now, Freedom Expression Takes a Peek into The Hearts of Sabah - The People:

Now, Freedom Expression Takes a Peek into The Hearts of Sabah - The People:
"The Warm Hearted People of Sabah". Like every great place in the World, "The Land Below the Wind" shares a different experience totally from the World. The federal government of Malaysia officially recognizes 28 ethnic groups as being indigenous or "bumiputra" in Sabah:
Kadazan-Dusun,Malay,Kwijau,Murut,Bajau,Illanun,Lotud,Rungus,Tambanuo,Dumpas,
Kadazan-Dusun,Malay,Kwijau,Murut,Bajau,Illanun,Lotud,Rungus,Tambanuo,Dumpas,
Mangka'ak,Suluk,Orang Sungai,Brunei,Kedayan,Bisaya Beaufort,Tidong,Maragang,Orang Cocos,Paitan,Ida'an,Minokok,Rumanau,Chinese of mixed bumiputra parentage.
Other Nationalities:Filipino,Indonesians,Sarawak indigenous groups,Serani
Malay is the national language spoken across ethnicities, although the spoken Sabahan dialect of Malay differs much in inflection and intonation from the West Malaysian version, having more similarity in pronunciation to Indonesian. English, Mandarin as well as Hakka and Cantonese are widely understood. In addition, Kadazan-Dusun, Bajau, Murut and other smaller groups also have distinct ethnic languages. Sabah also has its own unique Sabahan-slangs for many words in Malay. "Bagus Ba!" In translation "Great ba!".By adding the slang of "ba" at every end of certain appropriate adjectives makes a slight difference, in making you Feel or Speak like a Sabahan.

When Freedom Expression roamed Sabah, We walked the streets of Kota Kinabalu(KK) which is the Capital City of Sabah, Didn't really understand How? and Why? but Sabah actually has at least addtional minimun of 5 visiting nationalities + The famous Kadazan-Dusun the majority of the ethnic group that leads the other minority 27 groups according to Wikipedia, Their Infamous Cultural Presentation, Dances, Arts & Crafts. Below are the ingenious stats of Sabah according to Wikipedia.
Kadazan-Dusun: 17.8%
Rungus
Bajau: 13.4%
Malay: 11.5%
Murut: 3.3%
Other bumiputra: 14.6%
Chinese: 13.2%Other non-bumiputra: 4.8%
Non-Malaysian citizen: 25%
As you walk the streets of KK, Freedom Expression couldn't tell the difference of who is what? and who is who? This is because locals in KK seems to have similar blood lines, mushroomed from the majority Kadazan-Dusun Ethnic Group. Freedom Expression Rate this as "Different" and "Unique".
In every Tourist eyes, including Us Freedom Expression, Rates Sabah "The Most Friendly & Warm Hearted People" compared to other tourism oriented neighbor countries like Philipines and Indonesia.
A British Tourist named Katie Pett, Shared the same thoughts with Freedom Expression.
"I Love KK .. Oh well, Because The People here are nice and friendly... They just seems to be okay with everything...nice people...People in the city are much more impolite Followed by Laughters of an Awkward moment," Says Katie Patt of Wales, England. Somehow,

The Plight Of the People.
Sabah's economy was traditionally heavily lumber dependent, based on export of tropical timber, but with increasing depletion of the natural forests and ecological efforts to save remaining natural rainforest areas, palm oil has emerged. Other agricultural products important in the Sabah economy include rubber and cacao. Tourism is currently the second largest contributor to the economy. There are other exports like seafood and vegetables.
As Freedom Expression walks deeper into the outskirts, Or Shall i say outside the Tourist Maps of Sabah? leads to roads less traveled by Tourist. The sight of simplicity in the way of life amazed Freedom Expression.
We took a local minibus and bump our way around the outskirts of KK town to other nearby Towns. Children were walking to schools in groups, Little rascals cycling their way to schools was an eye catching moment. Sights of the simple life locals only project the obvious that Education Coverage in Sabah is still minimal.

The sight of a stranger builds curiosity among the school kids and asked "Me Do i need help?" And I smiled and asked for directions. He then Told me to follow his bicycle while laughing away with his other friends. They were heading to where i was heading so why not do as told by the school boys.It really was an amazing experience speaking to them boys on bicycle.Charisma shown by those young kadazan boys were remarkable, Essence of Purity and Brightness that build intelligent independant boys. Nothing is spoon fed for the people of Sabah Especially in the deeper rural areas.
Everyone protects themselves off intruders, without understanding the point or facts that things might be. It is an admirable trade of the sabahan to protect one another of its kind. It is evident that Sabah has great younger generations.
The scenery of Lush Greens of Trees and Jungle ..As i walked onto a semi tar earthy colored dusty pathway...leaving the sight of simplicity .. it only did quench my thirst for Nature. Such a Great Place that people there one day will achieve spiritual equilibrium to their purpose...And when I finally arrive at my destination.. I waved good bye and wish them boys a big thank you .. in their slang that goes like.. Hey Thanks Ba!
A message to the People Of Sabah:
"Believe in your People and Country"
God Bless Sabah.
As a conclusion, Sabah to Freedom Expressions is being Classified as a Friend to our Cause for Humanity.
